in Malaysia

Travel
in Malaysia can be complicated in the sense that Malaysian Holidays
have to be taken in account whenever you are planning travel. It
affects prices / itineraries as well as availability of
accommodations. These are usually known as peak or super peak
periods and prices tend to go up. These include the school holidays
as weekends and public holidays for the various cultural and
religious festivals celebrated in Malaysia.
Off season:
Monday-Thursday (Excluding Eve
& Public Holiday, School Holidays and Long Weekends)
Peak season:
Malaysia School Holidays (Monday-Thursday) & Weekends
(Friday-Sunday) exclusive of school holidays
Super Peak Season:
Eve & Public Holidays, Long weekends and super peak
period
Weekend
Saturdays and Sundays - Would
apply for States
Federal Territory of K. Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan, Penang, Perak,
Perlis, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Pahang, Sarawak
and Sabah
Thursdays and Fridays -
Would apply for States
Kedah, Kelantan and
Terengganu
If
a public holiday falls on a Friday, then Sunday is a working day.
If
it falls on a Saturday only, then Sunday is a holiday.
And if this day is already a holiday, then the next day shall be a
public holiday
