Kandu
cave consists of 3 sections with 4 entrances, the most frequently
used entrance is located in the second section of the
cave, Kandu is a direct opposite of the Tempurung cave.
Where Tempurung is wet and immense, Kandu is dry, dusty, and
narrow: where Tempurung is visually astounding, Kandu is
physically demanding. The best section of the cave is a narrow
downward chamber surrounded with crystals everywhere you turn,
but the damage or impact to the crystals are getting greater day by
day as tourists and locals are pocketing them as they leave the
crystal passage, wanting to keep them as souvenirs or selling it to
someone............. To get to the chamber, one has to walk
over branches wedged between rocks which do not seem to
have a bottom.
Kandu provides
an interesting adventure caving opportunity with its many
narrow passages with a little climb here and there...
