Brinchang
Town
currently is the biggest town in Cameron
Highland. It seats several hotels, night
markets, military camps, public service and
commercial centre. The people here are mainly
Chinese.
Brinchang
(also Berincang) is a town located in
Cameron Highlands in the state of Pahang,
Malaysia. It is the second tourist town in
Pahang after Tanah Rata. One of its attractions
is the Night Market available during weekends
and the Malaysian school holidays, where many
vegetable stalls and food stalls are set up.
Gunung
Brinchang
is the highest peak in Cameron Highlands and The road
connecting Gunung Brinchang and Federal Route "59"
at Brinchang is the highest motorable road in
Malaysia. Standing at 2031m, it is visible from most
parts of Tanah Rata and Brinchang with a
telecomunications tower on the peak. The summit offers
a great panorama of the surrounding areas.
It is 7km from the base of the turn-off from the road
into Sungai Palas tea estate to the peak and is a
steep uphill climb. Best not to make it in the
afternoon as it can get quite hot during the climb.
