Looking for an adventure in a different part of the world is not always easy. Having Michael as our guide gave us the opportunity not only to do White Water Rafting, Canyoning & Cave Exploration, but we also got a real sense of Malaysia as a culture.

Padas River is situated in the interior of southwestern part of Kota Kinabalu that is only accessible by train (used since the late 19th century in Borneo). Basically, this trip will give you two experiences advantages - 1) Excursion of Class III-IV river, 2) and suitable for aged from 12 to 55 years old

The adrenaline rush excursion covers a distance of 9km of this rather muddy 200 km river that holds 7 exciting and tough rapids!

These rapids carries amusing names such as Merry-Go-Round Rapid, Break Point Rapid, Scooby Doo Rapid, Cobra Rapid, Curve Rapid, Lambada Rapid and Head Hunter Rapid. Each rapid will give you the feel of the motion as what the name means.

Daily Departure

0715 hrs
(day trip)

Padas River (Grade III to IV) Morning pick-up from Kota Kinabalu city hotel and drive to Beaufort Town (drive will take about 1 1/2 hrs) to board the train to Pangi Dam - the starting point. The excitement begins soon after a briefing on safety and rafting techniques. You'll be equipped with safety helmets and life vests for the adrenalin pumping ride through Sabah's wildest rapids of the 'Padas River'. Two hours of exhilarating adventure shooting through rapids (Headhunter, Padas Cyclone, Cobra Rock, Roller Coaster, Jacuzzi pool). Opportunities to see local villages and ride on Borneo's ancient railway passing the Padas gorge down to Rayoh station - the ending point 

Lunch by the Padas riverside. Rest then board train and by road back to Kota Kinabalu. - Tour End (Lunch), estimate arrival time in Kota Kinabalu 1900 hrs.

We will inform you on confirmation status within 30 minutes to 1 business days, whether there are seat/s available for the date/s you requested.

Special Note : River rafting is subject to the water level and weather condition. If rafting is not possible to be conducted, an alternative tour may be suggested.

Take Note (fine print) : Due to the nature of the tour, the weather, road condition, local circumstances, prevailing safety factors, the route & itinerary may vary to those published but the content of the tour will remain the same. The final decision of the actual itinerary will be made by us on the day of the tour.

Package includes : All rafting equipment (Life jackets and helmets are provided), Rafting Guide, Insurance, Transfers (Van or Bus / Train / Raft) & Lunch.

Package excludes : Personal Expenditure, Other items not mentioned in itinerary.

What to Bring : Bring along swimsuit, shoes with rubber soles, extra dry clothes and no valuables, and don't forget to bring sense of adventure / fun / humor / enthusiasm and a flexible attitude!
