"If, like I was, you are looking for that "True Malaysian Jungle Experience", MMAdventure know where to find it.  Forget the roped off, well-beaten tracks most tourists in Malaysia go to.  My trip to the Belum Rainforest in Malaysia's far north took me, literally, to places that very few people had gone before.  The hiking that we did took place on either tracks made by the natives who take rubber from the trees, or tracks, very obviously, made by elephants!  On many occassions, we had to cut our way through the jungle as the paths had grown over since people had last gone there.  THAT, was the kind of 'untouched' jungle I was hoping to find!

I specifically asked my guide, Michael, to teach me some Jungle Survival Skills which he was more than happy to do.  He stood by and laughed for an hour while I tried to light a fire using a flint, then proceeded to show me a much easier way to do it!  Fire in an instant!  I used bamboo to bamboo to cook rice, boil eggs and cook fishes.  During our hikes, I was shown which vines were filled with drinkable water, and which plants had medicinal properties.

The Belum Rainforest is a true rainforest.  No people for miles, no tents.  No sign-posts and no sitting back while your guide does everything for you.  If you are looking to REALLY get into the jungle and get hands on experience, then MMAdventure is without a doubt the first place you should look.  Tell MMadventure what you want and they will provide it 10 times better than you expected!"
