Elephant Sanctuary at Kuala Gandah, was established in 1989 by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. A base for the Elephant Relocation Team which started in 1974.

Being the only centre in Malaysia, the team is dedicated to locating, subduing, translucent problem elephants from areas where their habitats are constantly being encroached by plantations, to Malaysia's National Parks such as Taman Negara.

Anyone can abseil - all you need is the inclination. Many of our participants are concerned about their fear of heights. A fear of heights is a good, healthy attitude we encourage - it keeps you safely back from the cliff whilst waiting to rig up..

Proboscis Monkeys (Kinabatangaan River) - Borneo
Sightings of the unique Proboscis Monkeys are common among the rainforest in the late afternoon. One may also catch a glimpse of a wild Orang Utan, leaf monkeys, gibbons, macaques or the newly discovered “Borneon Pgymy Elephants”. Though elephants and larger animals come and go-herd often break up to get through to plantations encroaching many areas.

Proboscis Monkeys and Firefly (Garama Wetland) - Borneo
Beside having the opportunity to see the Proboscis Monkey, one may also get the chance to see variety of birds, the common Macaque gathering in large numbers, sighting of the rare Silver Langour, large group of water buffalo and if you're lucky enough, you may see a crocodile in the river bank.
