Water Rafting, Abseiling, Gua
Tempurung, Gopeng – (15th
to
16th
November 2008)
When me and my friends thought of
escaping somewhere for a weekend to
do something crazy, we began
actively searching for ideas on
where to go and what to do. That's
when I stumbled across MM
Adventure's website. Upon checking,
I realise that the package
comprising of Canyoning (Abseiling), Caving
(Gua Tempurung) and River Rafting
(Kampar River) in Perak came with
a tight schedule and a tighter
budget. We were immediately
appealed. I quickly emailed Michael
and preparations were made right
away.
When
we came to Perak, we immediately got
off to embark on our first activity
- Canyoning (Abseiling). Me and my friends have
tried abseiling before, but never
down a waterfall. Though
intimidating, we eventually overcame
our fears and conquered the
waterfall. All thanks to Michael,
who gave us technical assistance and
motivation to descend the plunging
waters. Soon after abseiling, we had
lunch and set off for river rafting.
It was a mind blowing experience. The
adrenaline rush on the gushing
waters and the sheer beauty of the
flowing river will always remain
etched in our minds.
The
following day we got off to do the
last activity on the itinerary -
Caving (Gua Tempurung). Michael shared with us his
incredible knowledge on caves as we
made our way through the massively
beautiful cave. Apart from imparting
information, he also provided us
guidance and insight on how to
navigate our way through the
darkness and obstacles in the
caving. It was an unforgettable
experience.
All
in all, the trip did not only operate smoothly, but also
was very well facilitated by Michael. Never compromising
on safety and ensuring we were enjoying ourselves, me and
my friends have definitely developed confidence and belief
in MM Adventure. We cannot wait for our next trip with MM
Adventure in near future.
