Cameron Highlands is the leading producer of fresh flowers in Malaysia. Most of the flower nurseries are centered around Bertam Valley and all along the way from Brinchang to Kg. Raja. Be prepared for a lovely sight of extraordinary flowers you won't see flourishing elsewhere in the country. Flowers grown here include roses, carnations, chrysanthemum, dahlia, geranium, fuchsia and gladioli.
There are many flower nurseries here that all grow a large variety of colourful flowers. Besides enjoying the magnificent roses blooming of 100 over varieties in every imaginable colour, you'll also be fascinated as you venture through an exhilarating journey of various cultural murals, colourful stone sculptures which blends well with the landscaping.
One of the well-known flower nurseries is the Rose Centre at Kea Farm which was established in 1989. What started off as a vegetable farm has now been transformed in to a breathtaking rose garden. The Rose Centre Kea Farm Cameron Highlands is situated approximately 5 km from Brinchang & spread over 10 levels of terrace. It is the coolest village & the biggest tourist center in Cameron Highlands. The design of the Rose Centre is a combination of western and eastern designs. By simply entering the Carp-shaped entrance, you will feel the cozy, snug and relaxing feel this place offers.
You will be able to find roses of every colour here including black and green. Most of the flowers there are locally planted while some are imported. Don’t be fooled by its name and think that it only has roses. There are also sunflowers, cacti, tomatoes, daisies, hydrangeas, heathers, mums, violets, zinnias, azaleas, birds of paradise, jasmines and stargazers. Besides the flowers, there are statues and carvings that add more color to the kaleidoscopic environment.
Besides the Rose Centre at Kea Farm, there is also the Fragrance Nursery which is a major supplier of potted plants where they deliver to customers not only throughout Malaysia but also to neighboring countries like Singapore and Thailand. They have many types of colourful flowers such as lavender, rosemary, orchids, chrysanthemum and roses. The potted plants are neatly and orderly arranged throughout the entire space. The colourful plants will get you walking deeper and deeper to the back of the nursery. They also have some beautiful greens and are specialists in supplying strawberry and grapes as well. There are many other flower nurseries all around Cameron Highlands with all types of beautiful flowers. Any trip to Cameron Highlands is not complete without a visit to one of these nurseries.
